CIAC: Chain Gang Instructions
1. Chain Crews – Home management is responsible for providing four qualified individuals to work on the chain, clip and down marker...This is the responsibility of the home team, and the crew should be on the sideline ready to work at least 20 minutes before kick-off. This applies not only to varsity contests, but sub-varsity as well.
2. The rule book states the chain is to be positioned on the sideline opposite the press box and six (6) feet off the sideline, except on fields where total area precludes such operation. In that case the chain is to be three (3) feet off the sideline.
